About our panelists
Isabel Nisbet
Isabel Nisbet has held senior roles in the regulation of qualifications and assessment in the UK. She was the first CEO of Ofqual, the regulator of qualifications in England. She has worked in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and has served on the Board of Governors of four English universities. She brings her philosophical background to issues in education and assessment.
Stuart Shaw
Stuart Shaw is an educational assessment conslutant, researcher and author. He is Honorary Professor of University College London in the Institute of Education – Curriculum, Pedagogy & Assessment, UK. Stuart is former Head of Research for Cambridge Assessment International Education. He is particularly interested in demonstrating how test developers seek to meet the demands of validity, reliability and fairness in their assessments.
